Winemaker Notes: Beautiful dark ruby color with quite an intense bouquet bringing together aromas or red ripe berries as well as spicier vanilla notes. On the palate the wine is incredibly round with a dense tannic structure, yet not overly massive. Great freshness finished off by slight mineral undertones and a silky texture.
Blend: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot
James Suckling - "A solid red with currant, chocolate and walnut character. Medium body, round yet firm tannins and a delicious finish. Typical Bordeaux from this excellent vintage. A blend of 60 percent cabernet sauvignon and 40 percent merlot. Needs two to three years to soften."
Wine Enthusiast - "At 380 acres, this is one of the largest Médoc estates just the wrong side of the tracks from Pauillac. This generously structured wine is full of juicy black-currant flavors that come from the 60% Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend."
