Rounded and open, with friendly peach and honeysuckle notes and a breezy, almond-accented finish. Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Roussanne, Viognier

Located in the heart of the appellation, in the La Solitude lieu-dit, just on the western edge of the La Crau plateau, Domaine de la Solitude has been in the Lançon family for generations (the estate was created in the 17th century). Today, the winemaking reins are in the hands of the young, yet incredibly talented Florent Lançon, who has a green thumb when comes to growing just about anything (ask to see his greenhouse if you visit!)”

The Estate is a contiguous 100 acres, planted to 86 acres of red grapes and 14.8 acres of white grapes, with vines averaging 50 years of age.

• Iron-rich topsoil over clay and limestone
• Mediterranean with mild winters, low rainfall, and hot summers. The dominant wind is Mistral.
• The grape bunches are harvested manually then carefully sorted to remove any unwanted fruit.
• After sorting, the grapes are gently pressed with the help of pneumatic presses.
• Fermentation at 20° C in barrels for the Roussanne and Viognier, temperature- controlled vinification in vats for the other grape varietals.
• The malolactic fermentation is blocked for this wine.
• Aging occurs in barrels, on ne lees, with stirring, for a period of 8 months.
