Winemaker Notes:  Sought after by wine lovers the world over, Château La Mission Haut-Brion white is extremely rare (400 cases per vintage). Formerly named Château Laville Haut-Brion, the Château La Mission Haut-Brion white is a wine for connoisseurs. This wine is a beautiful pale yellow in color with glints of green. The first nose of this wine is marked by the beautiful maturity of fruit that is ripe without heaviness. When swirled in the glass, the Sémillon dominates, accompanied by notes of lime. The first expression is broad and flavorful, leading into a more complex fullness, balanced by a discreet but highly effective acidity, with a surprisingly long finish. This La Mission vintage will continue to improve with a few years of ageing. With its perfectly ripe Sémillons, 2019 is the model of a La Mission Blanc in its prime, combining the sun-drenched character of 2015 with a very nice freshness.

Jeb Dunnuck - "The 2019 Château Nenin is truly fantastic, and my money is on it being the finest vintage to date for this estate. Based on 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc brought up in just 45% new French oak, it offers a pure, medium-bodied, ethereal style carrying gorgeous red and black fruits, spring flowers, damp earth, and chocolate aromas and flavors. It's not a blockbuster and is all about purity, finesse, and elegance, yet it still brings beautiful richness and length. This gorgeous, seamless 2019 will drink well for 20-25 years. Best After 2022"

James Suckling - "Perfumed nose of crushed stones, blackberries and violets. Medium-to full-bodied with very fine tannins and fresh, minerally undertones. So long, showing bitter chocolate that turns to hazelnut and cocoa bean. Tight and precise at the end. 70% merlot and 30% cabernet franc. Best after 2025."

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - "The 2019 Nenin is a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, harvested from the 14th of September to the 8th of October. The alcohol weighs in at 14.45% with a pH of 3.59 and an IPT of 75. It is aging in French oak barriques, 45% new. Offering up an opaque purple-black color, aromas of plum preserves, fresh blueberries and boysenberries explode out of the glass, closely followed by a perfume wave of lilacs, star anise, Ceylon tea, eucalyptus and chocolate box. The full-bodied palate is at once rich and sensuous as well as bright and refreshing, with a compelling interplay between spiced, preserved black fruits with lively fresh-berry accents and a racy backbone. The tannins here and wonderfully plush, and it finishes on a lingering anise note. There's so much going on here and it all works together beautifully—a party in your mouth! (93-95+)"

Decanter - "The layers of fruit come through strongly on the nose. Plum and raspberry richness wrapped up with raspberry leaf and sage, this just gently tiptoes through the palate. Extraction is careful and delicate and yet there is a lot of power. This is always a Left Bank style of Pomerol giving a restrained savoury feel with freshness and classicism. Opens slowly in the glass and needs time over ageing. In the cellar, they cut the extraction time down by half compared to 2018, because the skins were so thick. 40% new oak. Barrel Sample: 94"
